I am getting new tires and rims for my trailer. I already have new tires, and still need to purchase the rims. The 14" rims come in 4.5, 5.5, and 6 for width. My tires are 205/75/14. All 3 rims are compatible. What width rim would be best?

according to etrailer 5" rim will give you more support for the tire because your trailer handle mostly vertical loads.

I read that also, and then in another post they said to use the 4.5

14 inch rims are almost a thing of the past. That being said, with the 5.5 a 205 tire is about the widest you could go. If you ever moved up to a 215 then you would need the 6. When I built my trailer I already had 4 rims and tires so I only had to get a couple more for my third axle. My original 4 were 5.5, the additional ones I found that match were 6. I didn't notice that the 6" gave less support. I would go either with the 5.5 or 6.

Thank you. Would the size be stamped anywhere on the old rims? I am using the good rim and tire as a spare, the others are NG.

It should be stamped into it somewhere. Either inside it near the center or on the back side somewhere.
