Quick release chocks

I purchased them last year and installed them this season. So far so good. Super easy.

Sorry Irie, I thought you were a supplier. I am trying to find a supplier for these chocks thanks Mike

Mike, I am the maker of the product. I started out making my own set for me. Took a couple prototypes to get it just right. Then a few locals saw what I had made and they asked for a set. Next thing you know I was selling 5 or so a week. The $400 I was selling them for may seem like a lot for what you actually get but between the Machine shop costs and the raw material I wasn't getting rich that's for sure. It was more of a PIA to be honest boxing and shipping all over the world. If I was selling 50 a week, total different story. But they are not a high demand item, so I wasn't. I will be selling them for $600 a set. If they sell, they sell. If someone else wants to copy my design and make them themselves, have at it. It's at that point someone will realize just how much of machining labor goes into making a pair of them. I have a machinist that makes all of them for me but he isn't a "high volume" type guy, so he gets the parts done when he gets the parts done. His work is impeccable, so it's worth the wait. I will let you know as soon as I'm back open for production.

Why don’t you send me a print and let me look at a cost for you?

I sold the boat and have a set to sell. PM me if interested

I Missed the chance recently to buy a used set of these. Anyone still making them? Would love to have a set…

Would still love to get a set of these made! Happy to pay a premium if someone’s willing to tackle it.

Wondering if there is a quick release version/option for these chocks. Would like to be able to put them on and off without having to deal with the bolts. View attachment 64131

Just lost one of these chocks. Any advice on where I can get a replacement?

Hey there. Rookie error. My answer was to leave the bolts (with the plastic threader) finger tight to easily adjust and remove... So, I'm wondering if you knew the vendor for the chocks shown in Irie308's post above. I need 3 replacement lock nut sets ... #learningfrommymistakesdaily...

Apparently they are made by GHS. I have reached out to them and have not heard back. An extensive google search reviews another vendor https://ecruffmarine.com/ghs-lift/ who I have also contacted. I'm looking for quite a few pieces, so let me know if you had any luck.

Anymore of these kicking around
I’d take a couple sets

These are actually easy to make if you already have the chocks. Just take to a fabricator to weld the bolts.

No pics of the process but if you look through the pics in this thread you can see how its put together. Would snap a few pics of my own setup however i left the dingh on the platform this winter so the chocks are in place. Post #97 has a few good shots of the make up. Can answer any questions you may have. I really like the setup and its going strong 3 seasons now.

Awesome thanks
I’ll compare those pictures with factory ones

Plate between the 2 halves and a couple tee washers
Weld the plate to the chocks ?
Tighten nut from the top
Washer spins
Missing anything ?

The bolt in this pic is welded to that piece at the bottom (like a T). i believe from the factory the hole that it goes through is large (about an inch or so). That needs to be filled in and then drilled out to allow the bolt to pass through and tightened.

Sounds easy
I’ll see what I can come up with
Thanks

So, in my assembly, the main missing component is a rectangular flat washer with beveled edges that slides right in to the Sea Ray swin platform slot. The bolts themselves are avalable widely, but that washer looks like a custom item. Thanks!
