Recommendation for rebuilt cylinder heads

Let's not forget the part where the Mag has an all forged rotating assembly. Big +
Not necessary under ~500hp. It's a real nice to have and bragging rights, but that's really it. Joeyleggz points are right on. I think you guys are missing his point. Rectangle ports equal a higher operating rpm range that cruisers won't usually take advantage of.

More to it than bragging rights, the heavier the boat the more the load on the rotating assembly. Throttling up to get on plane is when the engine is working its hardest. I just rebuilt my mag motor after 20 years and there wasn't a scratch on the crank.
Hawk, I don't see your 290 with a single cruising at less than 3800. What rpm do you think? Have you talked with anyone that has your combo?

I haven't heard any comments from anyone with my same setup. I'm just purely going off common sense for my build. I had X and for short money I can build a much better setup.
BTW, I wouldn't expect there to be a mark on a 20 yo crank that's had the oil changed regularly. I'm not dishing on the mag motor in anyway. I'd love to have it.

So, to start this back up, I am in the hunt for a rebuilt pair of MAG heads, dressed. Found a few places with great prices and no stock. Are these getting to be hen's teeth, or am I just looking in the wrong places?
I'll take suggestions.
