Release date AutoTrim Pro

There seems to be some confusion regarding the new Auto Tab Pro.

Here is where it now stands

The release date has been pushed back to Jan 1 2017 due to our ongoing testing

The system will not incorporate NMEA2000. Since the keypad displays Tab position we feel the added complexity and cost was not worth its addition. We do make a standalone NMEA2000 interface, and I suspect that is where the confusion came from. But the sensors for can only support one device at a time.

The version for hydraulic systems will use sensors and rods in the actuators and the version for our Electric Trim Tab systems will not require them.

The final specifications may change as we continue our rigorous testing.

Tom,

Are rods required to be installed in the actuators in the final product for the hydraulic setup? Is there a link to the installation/user manual?

Tom, same wiring scheme as the auto-control? I still haven't wired mine in since I have the touchpad for tab control currently. I can't find what wires to splice into.

The system can be used with or without sensors and rods. A lot of boats may have the sensors and rods installed from the EIC indicator control. If the system is used without the rods, then you will need to be able to see the Tabs during calibration to tell when they are full up and full down. Probably bet to do with two people.

With sensors you don't need to see the Tabs.

Working on getting a link for instructions to post.

The new Auto Tab Pro is not "backward compatible" with the AC3000 Auto Tab Control. The wiring is a little different and I think it's a little easier to install.

You will still need to identify the 4 color wires that run to the pump to install this system, same as you need to with the older one.

Thanks Tom. I ordered mine the other day, and can't wait to get it installed!

Still waiting to get them, as they've been on order for over a week now. We'll get them installed, but you'll have to wait awhile to hear my review. If you notice, I'm in Michigan and with our weather my boat won't be in the water until late April or early May!

Tom,

I have no problem waiting as winter is so long, and I'm having lots of other things addressed and added as well. I just didn't want to leave Scott hanging. I'll try to remember to post an update if spring ever gets here!

Thanks!
