I have a 2003 380 Sundancer with an old VHS tape TV above the refrigerator. Our refrigerator quit working so I figured it would be a good time to pull the old tv out and put a new flat screen in while the refrigerator was out of its cubby hole. Little did I know it would take a stick of dynamite to get the tv out. I have loosened up the screws to the wood below the tv and then to the tv. I pulled the wood out from behind the tv but I have not found a way to get the tv out. The black leather trim on the top of the refrigerator cabinet is in the way now. I am not sure how to remove the trim pieces but no screws are visible. I am starting to dismantle the tv with a hammer so I thought I would ask anyone if they have removed the tv before. Thanks for your help.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat, so to speak. Haven't gotten to the point where it's ready to pull out, since I'm still just running wires for the rest of the AV upgrades. Will post when I have a definitive answer

I believe it's mounted the same way mine was. There is a black piece of wood it is mounted to. I believe there are 2 screws screwed into the board from the top into the wood, take them out and you can slide the wood out. My PO did a lot of mods so it could be screwed in from the bottom but I've never seen that in the last two sea rays it is usually a screw from the top.

Yes, the top piece of wood is screwed to the bottom piece. Remove these screws and pullout the tv, the wood will come with it. From the bottom of the wood you can remove the screws that attach to the tv. Same goes for the coffee pot and microwave.

thanks for the response. On the 380, even after taking the wood out from under the tv it still wont pull out. See the pic from bracketracer below. Right below the tv there is a black fake leather trim piece that sticks up and wont allow the tv to come out. If the tv was 3/16 shorter it would not be a problem to pull it out.

It looks the same as my 410 DA, and it's just held in with those Christmas trees so you can pry up gently.

Good to know. Thanks!

Be gentle prying up the trim piece. Sometimes the push-in fasteners (Christmas trees) break off, as they get brittle with age.

Glad to hear Tim. Now you can fit the largest LED TV in as possible before reinstalling!

Yeah, I was looking at flat screens tonight but not sure I want a 24" tv hanging over the sides of the tv compartment. We watch tv rarely so it probably doesn't matter. I want to give a shout out to Capt. Rusty Higgins who gave me some help on this and other issues I was having on my boat. He is a SeaRay encyclopedia. Rusty is on CSR and is a SeaRay Captain and worked in the manufacturing plant. Good guy and he already promised me I can have his job delivering new boats from the factory to their new owners so don't ask lol.

I did this and installed a 20" with a DVD player. I haven't used the DVD yet, and wish I had gone with a 24".

Maybe not that relevant but here is what is on my 330 in that space. Its a 19" LCD that is mounted on a swivel arm. The TV can be left pushed back against the opening, or can be pulled out for viewing from the berth or the dinette. Small DVD underneath that is NEVER used. I may change the config to use the space behind as storage since the TV no longer goes back in that space. Sorry for the strange photos. They were taken with a fish eye lens.

I looked at several 380's before buying my 410. The salon distance from the TV to the couch where you're likely to sit to watch tv is pretty much the same. My 410 has 24" flat panel mounted over the fridge and although it's ok for the amount I watch it, I wouldn't want it to be any smaller.
