Removing Radar Arch on 400 DA

I'm considering putting a stereo remote under the starboard speaker panel. That could at least be a practical way to help disguise an access panel...

Talked to Sea Ray customer service this morning to see if there is a way that I am not thinking of. He p took my email address and said he would find out and email me back. I figure I will give them until Thursday morning to respond. I like the idea of some type of stereo component.

Removed arch today. Not for the faint of heart. image.jpg

The flooring is from SeaDek. The product is pricey but it its awesome! I've got two seasons on it now.

I'm workup in removing my arch on a 97 dancer 400 too. what were the steps for removal? I plan to install a hinge system

I have a different boat so i cant give you an exact answer however........we recently had our 500DA moved from lake Norman to the coast. Transporter insisted the arch come off (even tho the boat had made previous move Michigan to NC with only top equipment removed). Long story short i spent some time with my arm stuck up inside any opening i could find trying to locate nuts and bolts. Found them all. Six on each side. As for the screws that go into the chrome windshield piece, they stayed. Just be very careful when lifting the arch so as not to break the glass. Oh and 'lose the the rubber seal that will fall out, and into the water, and do not float.........oh well just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the info. It was way easier than I thought.
