I feel like we have to drive pretty far to get to the nice spots over here on the west side.

This is the reason I love Lake St. Clair. Within about 12 miles I can hit just about everything that we like to do, Raft-off in belly deep warm water, tons of restaurants, metro park, nice marinas, and a good friend has a cottage on boat only island we visit. Port Huron approx. 45 miles away. Cedar Point, Put-in-Bay, and Kelly's Island around 70 to 80 miles away. You can stay close or go as far as you like for something fun or relaxing. The lake is usually always calm compared to how Erie and Huron can get. I think St.Clair is a prefect lake to be on.

The 2019 Rendevous maybe should be farther north

Hello Everyone, I realize this 2018 Rendezvous didn't really work out well, but I want to let everyone know that I'll still be at Metro on Oct. 6th and Oct. 13th if any of you are in the area stop by and have a beer. We'll be in the back bay on the 6th and the front bay on the 13th. Not looking forward to the 29th when Bottoms Up takes her nap.
