Where do you come down on the whole "Renting vs. Buying" question?

Renting Versus Buying by Jeremy

This one comes right out of the "Karl Jefferson" file. For those of you that don't know, one of my best friends and co-hosts on the PAP radio show is Karl. His real last name is not Jefferson, but that is a story for another day.

Karl is notorious for sending over some of the best viral emails, and even better he only forwards on the best ones. I think I should make a "Karl Jefferson" category on this blog!

Anyhow, with no further ado, here is the latest I received from him. Thanks Karl, keep em coming!

The math on the Paul McCartney-Heather Mills divorce is as follows:

- After 5 years of marriage, he paid her $49 Million!

- Assuming he got sex every night (which us men know would have never happened), it ended up costing him $26,849 each time he had sex with his wife.

This is his ex-wife Heather:

On the other hand, let's talk about Elliot Spitzer's call girl who obviously has an amazing body. There is no doubt that any guy wouldn't mind spending an evening with this girl. The charges for her were only $4000 FOR ANYTHING!

Here is Kristen:

Had Paul McCartney "rented" Kristen for 5 years, he would have paid $7.3 Million for an hour of sex every night for years (a total savings of $41.7 Million Dollars), plus the value added benefits below:

  • A 22 year old hot babe
  • No rubbing her leg in the middle the night "hoping"
  • No begging
  • No coaxing
  • Never Bull**** "No Headaches" or "I'm Tired" excuses
  • Ability to put BOTH legs around you
  • No bitching or complaining
  • Best of all though, she leaves when you ask and comes back when you ask
  • All at 1/7th of the cost, with no legal fees
So gentlemen, just remember - Sometimes renting makes far more sense than buying!

HA!
True,true,true...
It really just makes sense.
I doubt any wives will agree......
If it flys , floats or F**ks...rent it.

I actually recall a pretty interesting economics discussion on the investment aspects of marriage with a University of Chicago economist. As I recall, it was a really bad economics idea from the perspective of sex and attraction. You invest half your accumulated wealth in a depreciating asset...as your earning power increases, the relative cost increases and the market value of the sex declines (rather like a boat...wonder if that's why they are 'she's'). It sort of tracked the economic theory of alimony...in the shorter market shelf life of women in general. The value proposition changed though when you factored in general utility...companionship, home management, child rearing and stability factors. Sex and arm candy are relatively cheap on the open market, genuine companionship isn't. Not only were the latter things that increased in value over time, but the management of those aspects tended to allow more production from the wage earner. In effect, this created a balancing of competing interests that worked itself out in a communal social structure (and anyone who shows this to my still great looking wife and mother of my four kids of 28 years will be the object of my undivided personal attention).

A fellow I know had an alcoholic girlfriend and he could get some everyday, his session costs were small but he felt it would have been more fun if she was able to participate.

This is a repost of that gave me the idea to post this thread. It is from the: http://clubsearay.com/showthread.php/47393-Boating-Swimsuit-Issue

Does Keri come with the 470?

I'm sure it is an option that can be attained. The cost is concerning. Based on similar options I have evaluated it would it would take at least a $200K of courtship, followed by $300K wedding, and that is based on a purchaser with at least a net worth of $2 mil. Other factors to consider are if you have a trade-in, then you need more than double the net worth. The long term fear is maintenance costs and future value, this option will have high maintenance costs and trade-in or divestment cost would be staggering. I suggest buying the 470 and renting the options on an as needed basis. MM

Never a truer statement made. The value of an Admiral-companion cannot be measured in $$$. And the folks who know it best are the folks that do not have it. So here's to all the great Admirials out there!!! MM

I still snicker at the first post.
