Rockford Fosgate Fuzzy Sound

Our 330 Dancer came with a Rockford Fosgate sound system. The sound was fuzzy from cockpit speakers, so I replaced them. The sound is still "fuzzy". In the old days I would have said over modulated. The sound is that way on all sources, from XM to FM to iPhone. Do I have an amp issue? Wiring? Ideas appreciated. Sound was pretty good when new. (Not great).

Do you have a Bluetooth plugged into the AUX port? I have one plugged in and it causes low level noise.

Speakers have a bad habit of reproducing any signal sent to them, including static, fuzz, pops, engine whine, etc. They dont know the difference between good noise, as in music, and bad noise, the unwanted stuff.

Since its all speakers, its going to be an upstream issue, like an amp or the head unit. Does the boat have other speakers in addition to the cockpit speakers? If so, are they powered by a different source as in a different amp, the other half of a multi-chnl amp, or direct from the head unit? Knowing this can divide the system and get you on the right patch.
