I have a express cruiser 215. It shows that it's running at around 190/200 when not adling. 170 idling temp. Water pump and impellor in lower unit replaced. Themastat replaced water pump on motor replaced. All new bellows and hoses on lower unit. What next? Thank you

Did you replace all of the parts trying to fix the "running hot" condition and it still persists?

Or is the "running hot" issue something new and these items were previously replaced as routine maintenance?

What is the thermostat temperature rated at? Even the 170 degree idle engine temp is too high for a 160 degree thermostat.

Either way, next thing to look at is the possibility of a water flow restriction, either in the supply the raw water pump in the outdrive, or a restriction in the hose as it goes from the pump through the transom.

Lower unit was routinely bring dinn.b however after running the boat to check for leaks I noticed the temp running high. I checked the motor and saw the weep hole was leaking at the pump. I removed the pump and themastat looked rough. Replaced both. It has a160 degree stat on it now.

Elbows get old and plugged up restricting flow. Could be a gasket issue under the pump not sealing

Thank you all the gaskets were replaced. pressure tested lower unit motor not leaking anywhere.

Remove and inspect your elbows. Those balls in the T stat housing can be an issue if you have them.

Not sure what these are. Where they are. I'm new to boating so I'm learning as I go.

Here you go.

Elbow is the large cast iron piece that bolts to the top of your exhaust manifold and slips onto a rubber sleeve. T stat housing is up top dead center and bolts to the intake manifold. You should remove both for an inspection.

Thank you I'm in it today. I'll pay if anything changes once I get it in the water again.
