Just bought this and its only got 200 hours. 1978 sea ray with a 165 merc. New floors and transom all maintenance uptodate. Spent most if its Life on a shelf in a warehouse. Lol seriously. The story goes it was used in its first two years in sandiago then abandoned. Ended up in the second owners hands and left on a shelf in a warehouse for the next 29 years before getting a complete maintenance over haul includeing new stringers floor and transom.
We live in az and the kids are haveing a blast. New interior in classic red comeing this winter. Any one have info on this years boat?

Nice find Matt. Where do you do your boating? We have a place in Sun City West and boat on Lake Pleasant when we're down there.

BTW, have you taken a boater safety course? I'd suggest taking it ino a classroom as opposed to taking it online. You can pick up a lot of local knowledge info from the others in the class.

We were there just a few weeks ago. I do most of my boating with my 11 year old she drives it more than i do. Lol the bbq restaurant was good but we do want to do the slide! Looks like a ton of fun. we frequent saguaro lake as it closest to us.

Boater safety no we have not

I did notice a nice yellow sea ray tied up near the bbq joint at pleasant seemed okder than mine but was a cool find.

Awesome. Congrats

Nice boat I just picked one up on vancouver island Canada. Mounted a bracket for a 9.9 Mercury pro kicker. Now trying to find a fuel pickup assembly. Seems like the newer boats are all larger diameter. So not sure where I might find the small one for my tank?

Welcome to CSR! Congrats on a great find! Many happy memories!

So nice to see an old classic that's obviously been well cared for. Grats on the new acquisition. Here's to many new adventures and memories.

The lines on the hull and most of the top are exact to our General Marine Ranger. Exactly the same. The interior is different. But only slightly. Nice boat.

John
