So I replaced one of the freeze plugs or cord plugs with a rubber plug. Just shy of taking the engine out and charging $3000 to replace one plug what are your thoughts on the rubber plug?

Have one in my 7.4L for a year now. I just check it often with a 1/2" wrench to be sure it's still tight.
