I am considering purchasing a 1993 Sea Ray 35 Express Bridge and am looking for the good bad and ugly about the boat. Can anyone help??

Daniel P Thomas has a 1992 350 EB so hopefully he will see this thread and chime in with some insights.

We have a 1992 35 EB and really enjoy it. Very comfortable and runs well (cruises at 20 mph on plane at about 2900 RPM).

After 3 years maintenace issues are fairly routine. Mechanically a very sound boat.

I purchased my 1992 350 EB in Aug of 2006
Love the boat.
I have the 454 330 hp with Bravo II
Very fast and economical
41 mph on the GPS with clean bottom and 1/2 loads
Cruise all day long at 24-26 mph at about 2600 rpm

I have done numerous upgrades which I have posted

Mine was a repo so I do not have a lot of history on it
But that said I have spent a lot of time in the bilge and going through most of the systems

Having the IO's I have a ton of room to work in the bilge.

My only problem has been some yearly maintenance issues with the Quicksilver Generator
Of which there have been many threads here on them.

As far as good, bad or ugly.
I cannot think of any right now.

Tons of room below and topsides.

Usually have 6-8 people for dinner on Sat evenings and have lots of room.
Changed out the round table on the starboard side last year and made a smaller version of the kidney shaped table on the port side.

The walk through is great for docking and at the beach.

Any specific questions, feel free to PM or e-mail me.

Dan

Welcome. I purchased a 1994, 350EB, V-drives, twin 454's this past May, think that was the last year for this model. Love the boat and so does everyone else. Plenty of power, love the walk through and stairs to the bridge. Plenty of good. Only bad would be with the v-drives its a little tough working in the bilge and the fact there is no walk-around. The Quicksilver generator works well so far but understand it is difficult to get parts. Definitely not ugly, great lines. I am located at Colonial Beach Yacht Center on the Potomac River. Good Luck. Mike.

Yeah, but Mike remember all of the interior room you gain without the walk around.

Aft Cockpit size is great for entertaining too.

I put together a table similar to some of the larger Sea Rays for back there.

SWEET, believe me I am not complaining. Love that flooring. We found a nice cockpit table that the previous owner left in the salon cabinet, works real nice. We also removed the round table, didn't see much use for it.
NEW SUBJ: How do you change the vacuum cleaner bags???

What do you mean about vacuum cleaner bags?
Flooring is 5/16" thick.
So no height issue.

Vacuum is under the starboard salon couch.
You can see the door on left in the last picture above.

And yes the round table was useless.
That's why I made the kidney shaped one last year.

I give up some docking maneuverability with the IO's, but
I more than make up for it in room down in the bilge.
Everything and I mean everything, is accessible.

Being 6'2" had it's disadvantages on previous straight and v-drive boats!!

Another thing I like is the access to the swim platform from both sides.
Makes no difference what side I dock on

I have a friend in Louisville Ky who has decided to sell his 35 EB. He boats on the Ohio and his slip is covered. If you haven't purchased already, shoot me an email and I'll get you some info.
