Well we were hoping to keep the boat in until mid october but it looks like I am going to pull her early to pull the drives.

After a nice cruise on Saturday my Port engine stalled while heading toward my slip at idle/coasting speed. I had the engine in reverse and noticed that it wasn't pulling at all so I looked down and the tach was at 0 rpm (she has never stalled on me in the past). I pushed the shifter forward into neutral and started the engine back up. Once the engine was started I pushed the shifter foward and nothing happend (no thrust). So, I used the other engine to get us into the slip and tied her up.

Once in the slip, tied up I again tried to put the drive in forward and there was no thrust. I put it in reverse and the boat moved back a little.

SO, no forward Bravo 3 but I have reverse. The shifter seems to function as normal(no additional friction/binding). I have been doing some research and it sounds like a problem with the shift linkage.

Is there anything I can check without pulling the boat for the season or do I just bite the bullet and yank her.:smt089 Not ready for winter.

Do you have a lot of sea grasses or milfoil weeds where you boat? Could be you wrapped a bunch of grass or weeds around the props. That could cause it to stall and provide no thrust. After sitting for a day the weeds might have come loose? Just thinking outloud here.

We do have a bunch of weeds this time of year. First thing I did yesterday was to check for junk in the props. They spun freely. The wierd thing is that now the engine doesnt want to idle without a little throttle. I replaced the IAC and it still idled rough. My mechanic says one of my injectors is leaking, causing the engine to flood. Does this make any sense? If I were to have a couple leaking intake valves would this cause a rough start or a stall condition?
