Second Bilge Pump activation 1995 Sundancer 330DA

Hi, I am trying to figure out if the wiring is bad or how I can activate the second (higher) bilge pump (Rule 1500) on my boat? I only see one bilge pump switch at the helm and have tested the pump itself, but when connected, it never turns on, only the primary lower pump turns on.
Have cut back wire as far as I could to get good clean wire, but still no power.
Any ideas?

That's the high-water / emergency pump, so it operates by float switch instead of a helm switch. The high-water pump on my '96 330 was accompanied by a loud buzzer inside the dash.

Thanks! I just found the power wire, it had been disconnected and the float switch removed...will put in new switch and hook all back.

Several years ago I did away with float switches and began using conductive switches. No moving parts and nothing to wear out. Very reliable and float switches will fail.
