Hi guys,
I have a 1972 Pontiac Lemans sport convertible that I acquired with the idea of working on it with my sons. As time goes by we have become very involved in sports etc and don't have the time to work on it. They don't express any real interest in working on cars either honestly. So, I am trying to find out where is the best place to sell one of these? I have had it on CL but have dealt mostly with mutants responding to the ad. I am considering eBay but, I have only bought on there, never sold. I know that I have to hook up an account etc and would like to skip that if possible. Any & all info is welcome. TIA.

You might want to try submitting it to bringatrailer.com- I have sold two rare cars there with great success.

Todd,

I have a friend that does this regularly (buys, sells & brokers). If you want some help PM me and I will put you in touch with him.

I sold my 1984 Eldorado convertible on Haggerty Classic Cars to a buyers in Madrid Spain. Had much interest on Haggerty's.

I've had my 68 GTO for about 20 years now and although I'm not active in the clubs (boating uses up the free time in season), there are two clubs on Long Island that you may want to look into. One is the Pontiac Club, and the other is the GTO club. I don't know anyone in the Pontiac Club, but a very close friend of mine is the President of the GTO club. If you send me all the specifics on the car with asking price and contact info I'll pass it along to him and maybe he can put it out to the club for you.
Also, the GTO association of America (I'm a member) puts out a monthly magazine that has classified ads in the back for Pontiacs other than GTOs. If you join you can place an ad in there and it will go to Pontiac enthusiasts all over the country.
My friend recently sold his 77 Pontiac Can Am that way.
Looks like a nice car, but it's going to likely take a buyer that is looking for that specific car to appreciate it's value. Exposure in Pontiac circles will proabably be your best bet.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the quick & excellent responses. Exactly the info that I am looking for. I'm heading out to throw BP right now for my son's little league team that I am coaching. I will put the CL link in here later & PM you as well Kevin. Thanks again guys. My wife already is staking claim to the spot in the garage!

I may be interested depending on price as well as shipping cost by Reliable Carriers. PM me if still for sale

I want to give a quick shout out to Kevin C! Kevin hooked me up with his broker & he had a buyer in 24 hours. Their transport guy showed up today & took her away! Thanks to everyone for the other ideas. If this deal didn't happen so quickly I surely would've explored those other options! Another thing checked off the list!! Thanks Kevin!!
