Getting ready to place shaft anodes on....how far in front of the strut should they be?

When I had an inboard I would put my shaft anodes about 4 inches in front of the strut.

I don't believe that Sea Ray recommended shaft anodes on inboards and vdrives. I think the systems are bonded to protect.

Well they can tell that to the anodes that are about 10% left on my shafts from last year. That's 2 per shaft too.

If you're eating through 4 anodes to 10% remaining then I would start looking at other potential issues. It might be smart to keep the anodes for this season while you look into the cause.

It could be you have a "hot" slip with a lot of stray current. I would also make sure you are using the right alloys for your environment and I would certainly run through your bonding system and make sure everything is proper.
