Yes, I did, as two marinas' told me that as long as shore power is plugged to boat, batteries would charge.

As stee6043 suggested, I checked voltage at both batteries with the "battery charger" circuit on, and the voltage jumped to 14.4 v. and down to 13.5 when charger circuit off.

In summary, for others who might be new to boating, the 2013 240 Sundancer battery charging system works as stated above.

Thank you all for your help.

First, I hope you took my comment in the fun/jesting way it was intended - there was nothing more intended.

The marina's likely made an assumption that you would know to turn the battery charger on. Kinda like making an assumption that if you want a light bulb on that you would flip the switch for that.

That's good that you saw the V jump - but Stee was talking about looking at your boat's voltmeter (which is a good thing) while I was talking about using a handheld voltmeter directly on each battery. The reason I bring that up is that your response here is confusing since it talks about following Stee's advice... but you also said "at both batteries" which is contradictory. I just want to make sure you are fully verifying that the charging is correctly attached to each battery and charging each one - just want to make sure something isn't getting lost in translation here.

Of course I took it as fun! The use of the hand held voltmeter on each battery was the key here. Both batteries are charging concurrently when the battery charger circuit switch is on(and obviously the shore power).
Thanks again for you quick responses and advise.
