I have a 2006 Sea Ray 290SD the shower sump pump stopped working. I purchased a new one same model and still no success. I figured the Weather Pack Connectors were bad and removed them leaving straight wire. At the wire my multimeter reads 12.50 Volts while on shore power but when the test is initiated the volts drop to 0000. Can anyone please help with this?

Sounds like a bad connection somewhere between where you're measuring and the source... drops to 0 volt when you apply a load.

Ok I'll try and trace back to the breaker box according to the wiring diagram. It also seems like the emergency forward bilge in the same compartment is not getting enough volts also but its on a separate breaker. This thing has me stumped

Bad battery? Pulling current and voltage drops.

Worth taking the battery out and having it tested at autozone.

Problem fixed bought a wire line tracer from Home Depot. Determined that part of the positive wire was deteriorated only about 1 cm caused all this problem. Cut bad part out and spliced back with heat shrink butt connectors. Saved about 400.00 I'm sure by spending 70.00 for the wire line tracer.
