The sink drain in the forward head smells. The drain hose has a loop in it that I assume works as a "p" trap. I have let the water run for a while but not much of a help. What is safe for the boat to put in there? Let's assume I will catch the chemical outside the hull so it won't drain into the ocean.

Lots of reports of jusg sticking a garden hose sprayer down there to blow the junk out. Just make sure the clamps are tight

I put a cork in mine every so often and SLOWLY pour some pine sol, fragrance of your choice into all of my drain hoses and let them set for 15 - 20 min. Then drain into bucket outside boat. This is easy on land, a bit more difficult if in the water. Works well and leaves pleasant scent. I do like the hose idea above. Sounds like you may have a partial clog that is causing the stink, certainly need to get that out.

Thank you I'll have a go at it today with the hose a plug and some chemicals. I like the plug idea.

Noflex digester will fix this. Put some in the water in the sink then let it drain after about 30 minutes and don’t use the sink anymore that night. Next morning will be perfect.

Really, you can safely use a bit of Liquid Plumber to dissolve the gunk. It's only lye which will be instantly neutralized when it hits the big pond. Flush with hot water after.

garbage disposal cleaner-comes in a spray can kind of like the "glory" carpet cleaner. Nozzle points straight down and product foams up completely filling the disposer and in this case the pipes/ tubing that is all slimed up. fill it up and let sit, it dissolves all the gunk then flush out. refill couple times- works great.
