Hi,

looking at improving the the ride of our sea ray in rough conditions. I want to try the Bennett smart tabs first (sl10) before looking at the electric or hydraulic version.

Can anyone confirm what improvement the smart tabs will make and then also if the fixing points for the smart tabs are the same as for the electric or hydraulic versions. Don't want to turn my transom into Swiss cheese!

cheers.

Sorry, somehow this got in under my radar.

I don't recall any feedback on this particular boat.

But the mounting points for the SLT Tabs and he remote electric or hydraulic Tabs can not be interchanged. So you would need to fill and redrill if you swap them out.

Thanks Tom. Any advice on how much you think they improve the ride in rough conditions I.e short wind chop to 1m?
Cheers.

Excuse my ignorance, what does 1m mean? Is that one meter? Those would be heavy seas for an 18' boat.

They will help quite a bit with a short steep chop, but 1 meter is more than a "short steep chop" in my mind. I would be more comfortable with electric adjustable Tabs in those conditions so I could keep the bow up when I had to run in following seas.

Thanks Tom. As far as the chop is concerned 1m is pretty much the start of it in Moreton bay. It is generally about 1m and that is considered a good day! Thanks for your feedback. Can you confirm which electric you would recommend for my boat?
Cheers,
Cam.
