Just flipping through screen because I noticed my starboard engine oil pressure which normally reads 7 lbs lower than Port was reading a bit higher.
I noticed my port engine boost was way lower than starboard. We are twenty miles form home so gonna keep going.
All other readings normal. I’m guessing it’s an indication issue. Anyone ever see this on their Smartcraft system?

Ive had several Erratic readings on my smart craft. Specifically on the boost. we changed the sensors and then swapped the module . Hasnt returned. I check the other readings and if they look normal they are most likely fine. Monitor the load and Fuel burn.

Same thing happened to me one trip. There were a line of boats lined up for the fuel dock and I hastily mashed the start buttons to get out of there.

The motors do a pre-check/calibration when you turn the motors on. If you don't allow them to find "zero" they will be off. Simply shutting down for a few minutes, turning the motors back on and waiting for 20-30 seconds before starting them cleared it up for me.

Any chance you started them quickly after turning them on?

Sometimes I get erratic readings. About 50% of the time, my starboard oil pressure will be 10lbs less than the port. The rest of the time, there will be a 2-3lb difference. Checked the manual gauges in the bilge and the 2-3lb scenario is the truth. I have had another reading or two be out “in left field” as well.

I do tend to just push to start with no intensional pause. I’ll try that and see if it makes a difference.
Thanks for all of the feed back I’ll keep you posted

Mine almost always read about 10psi apart (STBD higher than PORT). They were like this when I had them surveyed and the cummins tech didn't seem to care much. I'll check the gauges on the motors next time, though.

Mine are off by about the same 10psi as well, it's not a concern and pretty normal from what I have been told over the years. It's always consistent and that is what's most important.

Mine are the same as yours JB. I was told it was because of the "remote location" of reader/pickup if that makes any sense?

Well I took the boat over to fuel up and afterward went for a quick run down the slough to see if my problem with boost indication persisted. Upon start up after fueling, I turned on the ignition switches and paused for about 10 seconds then started engines. All indications were normal and when I brought engines to half throttle both turbo boost indications were the same. Thanks for the tip!
Also my split oil pressure indications were back to normal too ten lbs apart.
