Well last year I would have been glued to the TV tonight. I was really frustrated with the kneeling but to be fair the Steelers had not joined in on that so that was my 'reasoning' for still watching. But now with the whole thing blowing up and the NFL's stance on it I'm done. Then found out tonight the Steelers have Antwon Rose name on their helmets. About 3 years ago Antwon Rose was a passenger in a car involved in a drive by shooting. The shooting was caught on a security camera and the rear window of the car was shot out too. The police located the car and a traffic stop was conducted. Knowing there was a gun somewhere in the car the office conducted a felony stop. 2 of the passengers jumped out of the car and ran. The officer pursued and said he thought he saw a gun in Antwon's hand and Antwon started to turn so the officer fires and killed him. Antwon was a high school student and there was an uproar. The officer was fired but found not guilty. It's sad that it happened but a few years earlier in a neighboring town a very similar incident happened and the officer was shot and killed. It was found that Antwon did not have a gun on him when he was shot but the fact remains there was a gun in the car prior to that (I think they found the gun in the car). The protestors then said he was a good student. Well your 'good student' was involved in a drive by shooting (victim was not hit).

So if the NFL and Steelers are going to honor criminals and potential cop killers then I have better things to do that to support them. And I am a die-hard Steeler fan. This will be hard.

What's the NFL?

I hear you. Aside from the fact that the Bears suck, their ownership sucks, their QB sucks, and Chicago sucks, I am done with millionaires protesting and turning 2 bit criminals into The Pope. Didn't watch a down yesterday. Admiral and I spent it on the boat, after a week long rain. They had some live bands at the marina, had a little dock party, even went out in the chop to see how the dog handled it. Sunny, 70 and cold beer. What is the NFL again?

I’m sure the Steelers won’t miss you. And I betcha you’ll be back.

Shame that taking a knee has become so divisive in our country.

I was flipping thru the channels and came across the Rams game so I stopped just to see how it is being broadcast. What an Fn' joke. Those morons are actually playing with cardboard cut out fans in the stadium with what must be piped in recorded crowd sound effects blaring to make it sound real to these over paid goons. How does any one take them seriously? I hope every one of the franchises go Tits up. Of course most of the owners are so rich that the money they spend on their teams is not going to change their family tree but It would be great if they shut down and forced the players to have to go live in the real world and get a job that actually meant something to society. Its about time that people quit living vicariously thru sports personalities and concentrated on the important things in life.

They probably won't miss me but I'm sure them and the NFL will miss all the lost revenue due to them turning the NFL into a political arena. Not once this off-season did I see any ads or commercials from any of these guys pleading their cause. If they had maybe I would still be a fan but the fact that they chose to do it in an event that I used for my entertainment is wrong. What if you went to your job and did the things they are doing? I'm sure you'd be fired pretty quickly so why should they get to do it? And kneeling for the anthem? That is uncalled for. Their are other countries they can move to if they hate this one so much. There are lines you don't cross and disrespecting our flag or anthem is one of them.

Eventually they will learn that the leftists were not their customers. Most that swore off the NFL A few years ago gave them a second chance after the kneeling subsided. This is going to be the real thing. Jerry Jones will likely be the first to squeal when the cash flow slows.

It’s actually a damn shame because as with many things, a small minority that are willing to be activists hijack an enterprise and get away with it. Too bad the majority doesn’t have the balls to take the loud mouths like Kapernic behind the club house and teach the pussy some fucking manners. They know the pussy will go running to the league with his team of ambulance chasing lawyers and sue their pants off.
That’s ok though, as usual time will take its toll and these kneeling punks will be broke Dick dogs working at Home Depot in the garden center wondering what went wrong!
Carpe Diem

Maybe just turn the game on after the national anthem if it bothers you that much? Or close your eyes so you don’t see the players kneeling?

Better yet, post something on a boating forum about how individuals shouldn’t be able to exercise their first amendment rights by taking a knee. That’ll really make a difference!

I enjoyed the football and will continue to watch it despite all the whining and bitching on this site about the NFL.

No one said they can't exercise their first amendment rights but skipping the National Anthem and having to shut your eyes because they're kneeling is a dumber than shit solution. How about they 'exercise' their right on their own time, when they're on company time shut up and play ball.

They won 26-16. It was a really fun game to watch. Watt interception was amazing. Smith-Schuster is really, really good.

I remember waking up early to watch the Ravens play in London. That game was the 1st mass kneeling event by the Ravens. I turned the TV off as soon as I saw their knees hit the ground and went about my day. That was the last second I ever watched the NFL. Don't miss it. It was a disgusting display of cowardice and the end of the NFL for me. Don't miss it one bit. I've thrown every item in the house that had a Ravens logo on it out with the rest of the trash. Done.

I'm not wining about it. They chose their side, I chose mine. America is a great country, and I choose to stand with her.
