Strengthen Engine hatch for 2008 Amberjack

I recently bought a 2008 Searay Amberjack and have noticed when walking over the engine hatch I am feeling soft spots. Can this hatch be strengthen by adding fiberglass stringers or stainless steel poles.....also how does that impact will adding either of them have on the insulation padding under the hatch......….any recommendations would be great.

I would find out if the hatch his cored and possibly has rot in the coring.

Clean the channel the hatch rest in. Gunk builds up and the hatch does not sit flat.

Thanks Rob but my issue is that when you walk across the hatch floor feels soft, especially near the middle.

"X" bracing from corner to corner should take care of that.
