Sundancer 340 port dash drink holder

i have a 2000 sundancer 340 and the drink holder on the port side dash is useless. Does anyone know of a spacer kit or new unit that will raise it?

There's a post around here where someone did a DIY job on the port cup holders on the 340. It was part of a much larger interior upgrade. A really impressive job. I believe he simply replaced that lexan entire piece with a wood piece (very nicely finished teak I think) that included higher supports for the can/bottle. Not too tough a job if you enjoy some woodworking I imagine.

Will that fit the 2000?

I think the dash on your 2000 340 is the same as my 97 330. The holder is an Edson. I trimmed the middle of the OEM useless holder to fit the base. Access to put the nut on the underside was through the speaker cut out on the side. It’s was a long reach and hard to get to. I tied a string on my wrench in case I dropped it and dropped a couple nyloc nuts before I got one started. A skinny armed teenager would have an easier time. But it’s installed and works great. I put another one on the helm dash to the right of the chart cover by the side glass.

You can insert the same cup holders that are everywhere else in the cockpit, in those "holes". I think that they are 4.25". West Marine sells the white plastic ones & stainless steel.
