We've been getting unusually high and low tides here each Spring for the past few years. I got a coastal flood warning this morning through 12am tonight.

It's a curiosity of mine - the whole tide concept.

Where we keep the boat - through out the year the tide range will vary. Low tide will range from +.9 to -.6. High tide will range from 2.4 to 3.4. Doesn't seem to be a blanket statement that water levels are rising. It's more of seasons and I guess the Lunar impact.

I remember several years ago we were at St. Michael's in the Chesapeake one fall. High tide was up over the docks. Staff that worked there said it was a harvest moon occurrence that happened in the fall. No one seemed surprised or alarmed.
