Swim Platform Install

no that was the way swimplatorms. com had it set up when I ordered it. I think if given a choice I would have swapped sides of the ladder and grill. The gen. exhaust is on the ladder side currently.

ahhh, my grill platform is port side and my gen exhaust is starboard, the ladder is in the middle. What type of tabletop did you use in place of the grill? Do you leave it up while underway?

I had a lifetime brand folding table that used for grilling before I got the new platform installed over the winter. I removed the folding legs and drilled holes thru-bolting it to the bracket. no plan to leave it up underway

The techs at the marina called it the back porch, it really is a great size.

I can see why so many say the swim platform is one of there best mods.

Looks great and nice that it needs no supports. I would expect the stated capacity is conservative as a safety factor typically is factored in.
Nice boat!

We for sure surpassed the 600lb rating that swim platform has stated. Three of us were all on it at the same time, and count as two!! I am 325, my buddy is 230 and my son is 130. So 685lbs and it was rock solid.

Simply a tonge-in-cheek observation to overloading the rated capacity of your new swim platform. They must anticipate overloading to some degree such as adding a dingy+motor, so one has to wonder just how much of a buffer that they build in??

Lol... I thought you were referring to the electronics. When you speak with swim platform they will say the 600lb capacity is very conservative.

And I saw a pic of 4 men sitting one a play form on their website easy 800lbs worth in that pic.

Great Job!!!

I had to add supports to mine. A little unnerving drilling below the waterline. It's a whole new boat!

I installed swimplatforms.com on my 97 250 DA, loved the product but didn't like the support poles, my 2001 280 DA had nice factory platform with ZERO support poles, this is EXACTLY why I haven't ordered one for my 2007 36DB, it has to have the poles they said. So I opted for Nautley davits to install for my dingy instead. They sure are a nice addition I must add
