I am sure this has been discussed but couldn't find anything specific in the search function. I am considering doing this on my boat. I see you can purchase the raw materials inexpensively but if I do it I want it to have a border. Anyone have suggestions on this? Thanks

Unless you use an RTV/caulk around the egdes you won't get a border with the DIY raw-sheet method. Unless, of course, you can come up with a way to router the material yourself.

Interesting, thanks. I do remember reading about using a black caulking around the edge.

There is a thread around here somewhere about the "ebay EVA/Foam". One member did caulk it and it looked great. I did not caulk mine and am plenty happy with the result. If I had to do it again I'd probably pay for the Seadek, however. Just to get a better finish and avoid the time templating/installing.

I saw a YouTube on doing it yourself. Caulk between panels and the edge is how they did it.
