Finally replaced the old carpet stairs with some teak, hopefully they’ll be easier to keep clean.

Now that I replaced the cabin floor carpet with Plasteak Vinyl my landing and step look even worse . Did you use the old steps as a pattern and how hard was it to get the landing up. The now skid really works well with it all.

The landing was a pain to get up due to the way it was installed.(once you remove the landing you’re committed because there’s no reusing it. Lol) And yes I did use the steps as a template but the landing was another story. I assume since it was covered in carpet they weren’t exactly careful in the way it was cut so I had to test fit the new landing in order to get it to fit right, also to make sure the leading edge looked right since it wasn’t perfectly square to the landing base originally. Both the steps and the landing also only have a strip around the perimeter to give the illusion of thickness because anything over an inch made wouldn’t fit under the stringer post for the landing. If you want to ask anything else I’d be more than happy to send you my contact info
