Did you buy this because you installed lithium batteries? I had new AGM engine batteries installed about a year ago now. Does Wakespeed prolong life or is it protective or both?
I had two options when I did the lithium battery swap as far as my alternators. Spend $1,000+ each for a Balmar unit or leave them disconnected and charge them with the generator when I was on a mooring or on a long trip. I chose the latter. Now the that Wakespeed device was released, I can run the standard alternator and it is protected. As you can see from the outside of the unit, it can be configured for almost any battery type.

Did you install this external regulator on your OEM alternators? If so what/how did you deal with the alternator internal regulator?
Edit - It looks like your alternators are the Leese Nevile Prestolite so did you buy the external regulator conversion?

The alternator shop in Long Beach did the modifications to the Prestolite to eliminate the internal regulator.

Where did he find it!?!? We need all the shade we can get. Average temp here is 104°.
Kelly it was custom made. His fabricator Byron Watson who built it was there also. I’m not sure, but he might build you one and send it your way.
Here is his # (562)607-8515

Is there an image of the retractable cover in extended position?

I did not get a picture of it extended. I did look under the canvas to see the mechanism and the arms that extend. I circled the previous picture where you turn the device to extend the arms. I'm guessing this is similar to what is used on an RV canopy.

Saw that twist mechanism and yes, looks similar to an RV type. Looks like the aft end of the canvas has a small vertical section too.

A friend is looking at the 450 EB for sale in Discovery Bay that I posted above. https://www.yachtworld.com/yacht/2000-sea-ray-450-express-bridge-8395695/

It has the "Rosekelley/Olsson Power Tilt Davit" on it that I have not seen close up. It looks good until you see the lazarette modification made to clear the post.

Seems like 6" further aft might have cleared the aft hatch opening (?). Listing pics show quite well although I didn't examine the electronics vintage.

It looks like it has been updated:

Finally, my approx 40 yr-old ships clock has a rightful home. Late 20's acquisition when ex & me had a nautical den motif. Years of neglect on a shelf or somewhere. Prev owner had something on this cabinet face requiring 4 holes . Have hated that ever since. Mounted the clock on a plaque, used French cleat hanger, flush mount so not to drill holes in the plaque. And used the upper cabinet holes. Clock works and ships bell works marking navy crew watch time. Woohoo!

Sarasota YC, our boat foreground, & spotted our same model down the dock. Zoom in, might have the hull ID legible.
