Didn’t Trump call-out China as our most significant enemy during or right after the campaign? Wasn’t that met with smears by MSM about Russia being much more dangerous?

I do not claim to be a virus expert but I do know that I do not need some middle aged housewife (Mich Govr) deciding what she thinks is best for me. Im 42, in good shape, and have no pre-existing anything. Should be my choice if I want to chance it or not, thats whats great about our beloved USA. Now with that being said, if you’re older, pre-existing anything, or are just plain not comfortable with chancing it. It should also be your choice to self-quarantine and stay indoors without fear of losing your job or any other repercussions.

They aren't trying to keep everyone from getting the virus, they are trying to keep the ones who will require high level treatment from getting it all at once IMO. I have seen documented instances of the news media - more than once - instilling fear into people by saying that a death is caused by COVID19 when it wasn't (especially in chidlren). They don't publish their mistakes, and even if they did they wouldn't get read. Don't get me started on hospital reimbursement.

People are being denied surgery to correct major vision issues that lead to blindness, painful conditions, heart conditions...while hospitals across the nation are laying off employees for lack of work. Yes, there are hot spots that have full hospitals. There are also empty ones.

Governors are picking winners and losers on an absolute whim. Gardening and gardening supplies are non-essential? You can't walk on a beach but you can go stand in line at Wal-Mart with a hundred other people? Closing Planned Parenthood for everything BUT abortion?

Abuse of alcohol and use of tobacco products cause the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people a year, but we don't prohibit that free choice. We tax it.

It's all about money, and it's all about control.

I won't be masking unless it is required to gain entry to a store, and even then I would chose another store that didn't require it if at all possible. I won't be wearing gloves because hand washing is more effective - unless you want to de-glove and re-glove with every change in action. Appropriate glove changing for a trip to Wal-Mart is a five pair minimum.

I have been a Registered Nurse in Maine for almost 18 years. I have worked in oncology and given chemotherapy. Knocked out people's immune systems to the point that basement mold ended their life. I understand compromised immune systems. I really, really do.

I have also worked in Hospice and have this overwhelming feeling that somehow these deaths from COVID-19 are given more weight than the thousands of people who die every day from cancer, renal disease, heart disease, suicide, etc etc etc. It makes my throat feel full and tight.

Wear gloves if you want. Wear a mask if you want.

Lock yourself up in your house, or see your friends and family. It should be your choice. Right now state governments across the nation are playing fast and loose with the rights of Americans using fear and misinformation. Quarantine the sick and the compromised. Leave the rest of us to make choices about our own lives.

I'm trying to remember too. I think The Obama warned Trump that N. Korea was the biggest threat. I do think Trump said China was the one to watch out for....and then there's Russia, Trump said 'wouldn't it be nice if we could get along better with Russia' and you know where that went.
