Thru-hull deck drains replacement

Any one know how to remove one of these so that I can replace it?

Looks like a nylon thru hull with a nut behind it. Hopefully you can access it from behind

Yup - there will be a backer nut. Are they actually "bad" or just discololred? You might find it easier to just paint them with plastic paint - Rustoleum or Krylon. Good prep is the key to a good paint job.
