Tips for Crossing the Gulf from Tampa to Mobile Al in a sundancer 460

I am picking up my sun dancer 460 in Tampa and skirting along the coast unit I reach my final destination of mobile al. This will be my first long distance trip. I have experience in the gulf locally. Anybody made this trip before or something similar? Thanks guys!

Ha. We are going your way next year for a couple of weeks. My goal is to hug the coast and get to Key West. I have been looking for various manufactors for the last 3 months.

I just made the trip from Marco Island FL to Galveston TX. Your trip will be easy from Tampa. If you want to PM me your number I can call and share a much more detailed trip plan with you but most of the high notes are posted on my delivery thread. You will have enough fuel to make the run across to Orange Beach if you take it slow, but PM me and I'll give you all my info from my trip last month. Congrats on your boat! It is an awesome boat for sure, just got back from a 60 mile trip an hour ago!
