To Me 38 Sundancer

Just closed on a 2006 38 Sundancer. Boat is in Milwaukee, Wi (winter storage) Will have summer slip in Sturgeon Bay, WI. Boat has ice maker on aft deck. Can this be converted to a refrigerator?
Appreciate any input.

The ice maker doesn’t have an adjustable cold control.
You can use it as a freezer

Congrats.... I couldn’t survive the summer without my cockpit ice maker... give it a chance before throwing it out

Nova kool R1200 should be a direct change out, then you need to run 12 volts

At least it fits for the earlier 380’s holds about 36-12 ounce cans

I wanted a bigger unit so I had to cut the hole 2” taller and about 2” wider. 12v was already there from the factory and yours may be as well. 1 hour long install.

I went with an Isotherm 49 I think.

I agree that you're probably better off with the fridge but then you'll still need a cooler on board to keep some drink ice.

Center Pointe Marina Slip B1. Sorry for the delay in responding. I am in the process of returning to our home in Green Bay from Florida. Stopped here in Charlotte, NC to visit friends for a couple of days. On the road in the morning and hopefully back in GB for the weekend. Way toooo much windshield time in the next two days !
