Transducer problem

Hi I have a 240 Sundancer, year 2007 which I bought at the end of last year. The transducer was working fine for the first 2 outings but then appeared to disappear and show only 3 dashes instead of a depth reading. When I got back to the mooring and turned the smart craft system back on it shows the depth erratically then show the 3 dashes again. Does anyone have any ideas? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Had the identical symptoms with mine last year. Reset/reprogrammed via SmartCraft many times. New transducer was the only cure for me.
