Hello folks, I am trying to adjust the trim rams to 21 3/4" per the manual and after reading many different forums everyone said adjust the trim with the switch on the throttle. According to the manual it sounds like you should turn the puck on the sensor and that should move the trim rams without using the switch on the throttle and I found a video on YouTube and that's exactly how this guy did it .
My problem is nothing happens when I turn the puck on my sensor
Is this the correct way ? One of my drives goes up further and a little faster than the other so when I hold both switches simultaneously starboard drive is always higher than port . Thanks

Follow these instructions http://www.boatfix.com/merc/bullet/92/92_12.pdf

In simple terms:
Adjust the limit to 21 3/4" using the port side "Limit" puck. As you turn the puck counterclockwise it will allow the drive to trim out (using the trim button). When it is adjusted to stop at 21 3/4" tighten the puck. All this is doing is setting the upper limit of the trim so you can't overtrim the drive.

Adjust the trim sender (gauge) using the STB puck. With the drive trimmed all the way down/in, adjust the puck so the gauge reads down or 0.

Thanks for the info , I see that my alpha 1 gen 2 needs to be at 20 3/4" not 21 3/4"
Now I have to figure out why the drive does not move when I turn the puck on both drives, yes I have the battery and ignition on

Can you clarify?
Pressing the trim button up or down will move the drive.

It’s sounds like you are rotating the pucks and expecting the drive to move?

Yeah, the pucks don't move the drive, they just set the trim up limit and control the trim gauge. You have to use the trim up/down button on the throttle to actually move the drive. If the trim button is not working, does the trailer button work? Also, if the trim limit puck is turned all the ray clockwise (toward stern) it won't allow the drive to move at all. Turn it counter clockwise and then trim the drive up, then turn the puck some more and trim more until it is at 20 3/4 inches. And last, make sure you connected the limit puck correctly, if it is not connected it will open the circuit and the drive won't trim at all with the trim switch.

I got it all done with the help of my son, now my only problem is the starboard drive moves faster than the port drive so when pushing both switches simultaneously OR when using the trailer switch the starboard drive is always a bit higher . Sigh..thanks all
