Tune up and oil change

Hello I have a 2008 searay 185 just got at the beginning of summer... Time for that dreaded oil change... Can anyone tell me what type of engine oil to use... Also what filter.. also I was wanting to do pluge wires cap and rotor... Whats the best parts to use... And part numbers... I don't have any books for the boat at all... Thank you in advance....

For part numbers, The best thing to do is go to the Mercury Parts catalog. Once you get the part numbers, shop around for different prices.

You will need the serial number of the engine (s). Easy to find.
You can locate the MerCruiser serial number label on either the side of the engine or on top of the flame arrester cover.

Mercury customer support is a great resource for type of recommended oil for your engine. I used to use 25-40 on my old boat with 4.3's Best to check with:
