Twin 7.4L Horizons w/ Hurth V-Drives
2000 7.4 horizon started, stalled and won't restart. She turns over. Batteries good. New plugs, wires, cap..full time up 2 months ago. Ready to head home to Long Island from Newport RI. Sunday so no mechanic around. Any advice appreciated

If you have tested for spark, and have the flat dist cap, replace the cap
Fuel tank empty, fuel selector switch off?

Thx for your replies. Turns out may have been clogged gas tank vents from being in rough seas few days prior. Primed fuel pumps (half click on starter switch to engage pump) a few times and started right up.

Interesting..observed what appears to have been some fuel residue ( light brown color) beneath the tank vent located below the rub rail....something I've never seen. Please feel free to chime in on this one.

Either way, made it half way home to Greenport, Long Island after experiencing 3-6 ft rollers in Narragansett Bay thru Block Island Sound for a good 15 miles.

Off to home port in East Patchogue this morn. Thx again a always.

Best,

Mike
