Hey guys, getting ready to replace the tv on the 2005 280 dancer. couple of quick questions. Tried removing the tv looks like it should slide on the mount but will not budge. Next question, PO put antenna halfway up the arch, would like to replace with new antenna and put on top of the arch, is the arch hollow and will i be able to fish a wire through it. If replacing antenna and tv can i use the old co axle that is already running through the boat. Thanks for any help and tips and any input would be appreciated. Thanks, Tony

Two small Philip screws on bottom of slide mount hold it. The arch is hollow remove access cover on bottom starboard behind cockpit sink and acess cover in middle on top mine had a small cord to fish wire.my antenna on top port of radar.

What do you mean by won't budge? If you mean won't slide out of a compartment, slide your finger across the bottom of mount. There should be a safety release latch that keeps it in place while underway. Pix would help.

I installed a new 22" LED 12v. Pulled new RG-6 with gold plated connectors. Put a new Glomex on top of the arch with the amp in the closet. The whole system works great. The only real challenge came with the initial pull of wire from the arch to the closet. Attached a string and now have it in place for future use. Also installed an additional antenna outlet and mounting bracket on the arch so it can be moved to the cockpit. Glomex came with enough coax to do all.

I would start with new coax and go from there.

Ah so...

I still have the original set on my 330. Y'all stop snickering. The forward berth is not meant for TV'ing.

IIRC, the TV is mounted to a piece of wood or a couple of skid pieces of wood. The wood is mounted to the slide bracket.

FWIW, I would not get rid of the slide bracket. I've seen some pretty cool things done with that storage area using the slide bracket as a slide out shelf, the TV hole enlarged and the TV used as a front to hide what was in the storage space: Blenders, toasters, whatever......
