Twin Hornet Bilge Heater - never used

Bought this heater on Ebay from the manufacturer for right at 290.00
Cut the power cord to a shorter length to install it in one of the Huntsville boats, and then promptly moved the boat to Florida before it ever got used. I pulled it, and it's been sitting in storage for a year. I'll never need it here.
$200 with free shipping to the lower 48. This is the 700w unit that goes for 290.00

How much did you shorten the power cord and does it still have the lighted plug? Lastly, have you used it since you shortened the cord and if so did it run just as normal? Thanks
