v-berth backrest removal

so i know i touched on this in another thread but didn't get an answer so figured i would start a thread specifically for this. planning to reupholster the v-berth cushions and the backrest but can't figure out how to get the backrest off? its pleated so i 'assumed' there were screws hidden inside the pleats but i haven't been able to find any. any idea how this backrest (board) comes off?

If there is access to the back, look or feel for nuts.

My boat has panels like this in the cockpit attached with studs that are embedded in the panel.

Some of them were hard to access since they were buried behind another layer of something else.

what he said above or it is attached with Christmas tree fasteners.

I’ve also seen panels attached with Velcro in some Carvers.

Swear at it. It’ll come apart.
