Hello all....Looking for a set of 3 blade 17x15 props with 1.25 shaft for a 1987 Weekender / Express
I currently run 17 x 16 but cannot achieve full (4400) rpms
I have a set of 17 x 16 for trade / sale
Thank you

What RPM do you reach? If 4200 or so I would say close enough. You could have the props repitched.

Before you spend money on props, are you sure the boat is healthy mechanically (compression, tune up, fuel pressure etc) and the bottom is clean?

I have not done a compression check but here is all that has been done:
Fresh water boat so I don't believe the bottom is fouled....it started last year and when boat was pulled for winter, bottom was clean.
New filters
Rebuilt Carb
New Fuel Pump
New fuel lines
New Plugs
New Cap and rotator
New Wires
New Ignition sensor in Distributor
New anti siphon valve
I'm stumped lol...any ideas are appreciated

I am running 17x15 on my 30 weekender.have current props repitched.my prop guy recommended switching as he said searay propped boats for testing and top speed with no weight in boat.can say boat is much better with the 15's.easiest and cheapest is repitch, think was like 250 total.

Thanks for the replies
I have diagnosed the problem as a intake manifold gasket....sprayed brake cleaner where intake meets heads at idle and the the engine stalled. Also did a compression test and all cylinders were between 165 to 175psi. All torn apart and waiting on gasket set now. Hope this fixes low power above 3000 rpm's. I am also going to repitch the props to 17x15.

I believe you are correct on this
by chance, do you have the name of your prop guy?...Regards Bryan

FWIW my '89 340da ran 16 1/2 x 16 props and we were right in the proper RPM range. You could take your props to a shop and have them re-pitched and maybe 1/2" out of the diameter. But rather than guessing a prop shop with equipment such as Prop-Scan can tell you exactly what you need.

Still looking....Thanks
