I've always had a small amount of water collect in the stern Bilge of my 2007 Sundancer 245 but recently it appears to be more, I've checked the through hull transducer and the drain plugs and they appear to be ok, is it likely to be coming in through a small split in one of the transom bellows (I don't believe they have ever been replaced)? or should I look elsewhere, the main hull is good with no damage or cracks.

when did you service the drive last? loose clamps on the exaust connectors?

I changed the Exhaust Manifolds and risers about 2 years ago and its been getting steadily worse since then now I think of it, so it would be worth a check, I don't appear to get water in the Bilge when the boat is moored so I think it has to be something to do with the through transom items.

I would check the hose clamps/fit on the exhaust. I changed all four flappers this year, and had a bit of work to get the rubber boot to seal back up on one of the engines. Only leaked when the engine was running. Always a good idea to check for leaks after maintenance. I open the engine hatch and watch and listen at least until she is up to temp. Much easier to fix at the dock than underway.

If its leaking into the bilge it is likely one of the bellows. Probably not the exhaust. More likely the shift cable bellows or the drive shaft bellows. Don't wait to have them replaced, and get them all done at the same time and any other service needed (ujoint, etc. if needed)

Thanks for the help, it turned out it was the Hot Water tank leaking and running into the Bilge, have now replaced it and all is well ! bit of a bugger of a job with the amount of room available. Joys of Boating !
