Water leaking in engine

2008 Searay Sundeck 240 with Mercruiser 350 mag bravo 3. Keep in dry storage. Last ran the boat about month ago with all being ok. Marina called and put my boat outside stating it was leaking on the boat below. Checked the boat, all I could find was some water in the bilge. Cleaned out the bilge. Took the boat out. When I first started I noticed water slinging from the belts and pulleys. I looked for leaks couldn't find any. Dried off the belts and seemed to be good. I thought maybe just excess water from cleaning out bilge and engine area. Ran the boat, all,temps/gauges ran normal. One week later had the boat put out, started it and the water issue happened again. Noticed the water running out from somewhere underneath. Additionally several areas are now rusted. The power steering fluid container has the most. Around one of the manifolds and several other areas. This is my first boat. Bought last year and had annual maintenance done to the boat. Any help would be appreciated. Would like to know what I am dealing with before approaching the mechanics at the marina.

What you first described sounds like the water pump on the front of the engine, the recirculating pump. There is a weep hole on the underside just back from the shaft. When the seal goes water leaks from that hole so you know. The water stains on the riser seem like an unrelated issue. Hard to tell anything from these pics. I'd call your local shop.
 
And have those manifold risers looked at, like mentioned above you should not see rust stains from leaks around them. Your boat is in salt water, so the risers do not last forever, they are a 5-7yr maintenance item, if you don't know the history it's time to pull them off and inspect / replace. You might be in for a water pump and risers.

Otherwise a 240SD of that vintage and power is a great boat.
 
I had water in my bilge also. Turns out the raw water pump was leaking from the shaft. Another time the water was leaking from the water heater fitting going to the engine,(it rotted away). And the last time it was a freeze out plug that was causing a leak.

This is why your bilge should always be dry, so you'll when you have a leak.

Thank you all for the replies. Marina is going to look at it in the next couple days. They did mention it sounded like the water pump. I bought this a year ago and had the manifolds and risers checked before buying. They put new seals in after checking, said they looked good. Boat has only been in the salt water for about 150 hrs of the 335 on it. Hopfully won't be having to replace as of yet.

We just purchased an older 225 and had water in bilge after an initial run. Was the water distribution housing; lower right side of a 5 litre mercruiser. Apparently a common place for leaks to occur as can crack in winter if not properly drained. Not too expensive to replace and no more leakage issues.
 
That is the housing that separated on our boat and caused our problem.
 
I am being told the risers are leaking, the hose at the water pump is missing a clamp, and there is a hole in it that is spraying water on the front of the motor. Gave an estimate to replace both manifolds and risers, hose and a pulley assembly.... $4,375 plus tax. Seems high to me.
Also concerned that this is occurring with only having 335 hrs on the boat, especially when I bought it from this marina, and they told me it was mostly in fresh water prior to me buying it. I have only run it about 45 hrs. This is dry stored, so I wonder how well they flush when they store it. Anyone with insight on this?

Sounds like you got or are getting screwed.
 
The raw water pump is about $460 ish , just bought one tonite from a dealer. The dry joint manifolds and risers are about $849 ish
Figure about 6 hours to swap everything
