Seems the seal of my toilet leaks a bit, water won't stay in the bowl. Any idea how to fix that problem without having to change the entire head system ?

Thanks.

The first thing I would try is to clean all around the bowl seal with a toilet brush. With the water on, and the foot pedal held down, brush all around the seal, there may be a bit of something caught in there.

Make sure when you release the pedal, that it goes up all the way. I sometimes give it a quick tap on the bottom of the pedal (with the top of my foot) to be sure it is fully up. If you hold it up, it will add water to the bowl.

If it still leaks, they sell a bowl seal kit, to just replace that seal. You can also get a new ball if yours is damaged. No need to replace the entire head.

Got a question, same topic. Do you think that spraying silicone on the ball and gasket would help the gasket last longer? I understand that if it's already dried and leaking no silicone will repair that, I talking about one that is still working.

They have stuff for this it's called head lube it keeps gasket Pliable I've used it works great

Buy a jar of vasoline and apply around the seal with a rubber glove on and wallah!

The bowl separates from the base rather easily. Turn the water off, drain the bowl, turn the head system off and separate the bowl from the base. The seal will be sitting there... Cleaned or replaced your call...?

Some models say to not use Vasoline, it will eat the seal. I had great success with a silicone lube purchased at a swimming pool supply company for $4.

I just replaced the bowl gaskets on a Sealand Vacuflush. There were two gaskets in the kit, one to seal the bottom side of the bowl and one to seal the ball. Then both seals placed together create a seal. Also bought the ball, just in case it was scratched or scored, but it looked fine. Total time to repair, maybe 20 mins.
