7.0 Westebruke gen. How does it charge the generator battery when running. Can't find an alternator and if I remove the battery cable from the battery it stops running. Does it not have its own power source or does it need the battery to run.

Your question got me thinking too. From the manual for my 7.6 BCG generator...

I have a 7.0 BCG
There’s not a separate alt. There’s an internal charger to the batt tho...no clue if it needs a batt to run. Never tried to run without one.
