What air compressor for winterizing

Right on.

I plan to run the tank dry and blow out the lines as you mentioned.

Guess my main concerns are the lines from the tank to pump and the pump to the manifold.

If you are using an air compressor to blow out your water system, don't forget to lift the pedal on the head.

I empty all the fresh water by bypassing and draining water heater, running faucets until tank is dry. Then I blow it out with my compressor set to 40 psi at the dockside water hookup.
Then as a precaution I dump two gallons of the cheapest RV Antifreeze I can buy in to the tank and turn on each faucet, one at a time, until a little comes out.
Then I take a third gallon of the cheap stuff and pour a bit in each commode and flush, each shower sump and lift the bilge pump float, then by each bilge pump and lift those float switches.
I use the cheap pink for the AC too.
Three gallons of cheap RV antifreeze is usually less than ten bucks. So I don’t mind springing for it.
Motors and genny get winterized with the good stuff. Not the cheap RV stuff.

I went through 6 gallons so far but after reading this found there was a much easier way. My old boat had a porta potty so I just made sure it was empty and clean and left it in the garage. The first winter I just emptied out the fresh water but the last 2 years I emptied it then dumped a few gallons of AF in then turned the pump on for both faucets. I never thought about the bilge pumps but it was stored underground so not much of a threat of freezing but want to make sure this one is done right cause this spring we had really cold temps after we brought it home.

I have a portable air compressor so will use that to blow out all lines then add AF to the tank to run through. Probably won't get much done this weekend due to plans but still have time.

I need to figure out the fittings to attach my compressor to the city water. Normally I hold it on the shrader valve while my wife goes through the boat opening valves. I have got to get that done this year. $10 says I still won't do it...

Go to Walmart. They usually have the fittings/adapters in stock in the RV aisle this time of year.
As far as compressor goes: I have a small Harbor Freight 10 gallon one I bring down to the boat when it comes time to winterize. Works great.

JVM, I just keep my air compressor in the dock box. There's enough air hose to reach my shore water connection and it keeps from lugging it back and forth to the boat.

I went to the local RV shop yesterday and got that fitting and my daughter brought my portable DeWalt compressor back today. I have a big 2 stage compressor but the hose won't reach the boat. Going to try to get mine done next weekend, including engine, AC, and head.

Dockbox, and you have room for a compressor in it? lol!
You need more stuff!
I use mine for lots of things so I need to bring it back and forth. I did see one at a garage sale a few years ago and thought about grabbing it to keep down in the 4’ x 8’ shed at my dock property, but that shed has too much crap in it already.
I’ve already expanded storage with a tall Rubbermaid 3’ or so wide storage shed to keep a small backup fridge running in during the season along with spare cases of water and a bunch of other junk.
Pretty soon I won’t be able to make my way from the street to my boat if I keep putting stuff there.

I joked with friends when we bought this house that we bought a 6 car garage with some kind of a house attached. I have a larger compressor tucked under the work bench at home so I don't have to take the pancake compressor back and forth. Just makes that part of my life easier.

Yes, I use no antifreeze in the potable water system, and have be down to below -20 degrees... I run all the water out, drain the HW tank, then blow from the shore water connection... Once that is done, I go to pump on the forward bulkhead, disconnect each line going in and out of the potable water pump, then blow to the water tank, and to the HW heater. Then pour AF in the head and flush it. I pump my Gray water tank before I put AF in the head... I also blow out the AC...
