decided to just order a new 230SPX outboard, the quote I received so far is MSRP of $92K with a $3,500.00 discount. Seems really low and I was hoping at least 10%; what have you guys been getting?
On the more expensive boats, 18% seemed to be typical pre COVID, I think that is now more like 10-13%.
That SPX seems expensive for that size boat, but that is a different topic. I would think $7000 off would be more reasonable, but it is a sellers market.

I ordered a new 250 SDX in Feb (arrived in July) and got 10% off MSRP. Also got a good price for my trade in boat and got to use it until the new boat arrived. FWIW I also looked at a Yamaha 252. Price was MSRP and was told take it or leave it.
We’re in south Florida. Ordered a SDX250 OB in July, arrival in October (hopefully). We got 14% MSRP which we were pretty happy with given the Covid inventory issues.
I am patiently waiting...and prepared to wait 2-3 years for the frenzy to completely subside and people to forget about boats and all collectively get back to work so that I can buy a new boat at a reasonable less than inflated firm on the MSRP your lucky I'm still talking to you as a salesmam that needs to return hundreds of call inquiries price.
Stopped in to my local dealer yesterday- they have a new SDX250 in stock and they offered 10% off MSRP without me even asking. I'm sure I could negotiate a greater discount . . . maybe the boat market is starting to cool off, coupled with the end of the season.
