What is this part?

So i am having trouble with my starter and was wondering what this part was? I have it circled in red.

It is right above the starter and has a Blue wire going to it?
Any ideas?

I have a 1995 Sea Ray 175 Series?

Its a illudium q-36 explosive space modulator............


or a oil pressure sender. One of those two for sure.

Oh, wait a minute... Back in the mid 90's Merc was experimenting with a remote bottle for the anchor light fluid. I've never actually seen one in person, though...

Based on what I see, I'd say you have a leaky spark tube. Better have it checked out! :smt043

it took me three attempts just to find the red circle! of course, i have no idea whatsoever what it is, but looks like some stuff in there needs some TLC ! is there a winter project in the making here?
