I lost the molding that slips on the edge of my swim platform on mySundancerr 300. I want to buy something close to the original molding. Anyone know what this is called and where to buy it?

I just happen to have what you may be looking for. I put a new platform on the back of my boat and wanted a nice looking rub rail. I had to buy 50' of it to go around the 20' or so of my platform.

I have the remaining 30' of it in a box in my garage just sitting there taking up space. If you're interested, I'll go out and take some closeup photos and measurements and then make you a helluva deal on it.

Here's what it looks like on my platform:

Does that have a ridge that slips over the edge of the platform? Mine didn't look the same but that doesnt mean what you have will not work. The strip I lost had about 1/8" slit (about the thickness of the swim platform on the bottom edge) and the material that could be pushed up on to the bottom edge of the platform. Thanks for posting and offering this up!

Actually mine looks more like what cfd95 gave me a link to above: http://www.searay-parts.com/U-shaped-motorbox-trim-p/uchannel trim pltfrm mtrbox wh.htm

Buzzie, if you google V11-2423BWK50-2 you'll find sites that show cross sectional views and have all the dimensions.

My box had 50' of rub rail with the white insert when I bought it. I used about 20' and am guessing I have about 30' left. Here's what it looks like assembled on the boat:

The white is the insert that goes in the center. It comes either white or black. I liked the white better.

Thanks GoFirstClass, It's not the same as mine but it might work. How does it adhere to the platform? Two sided tape? Mine attached to the deck by slot that slipped on to the ridge on the deck, maybe that's why it's at the bottom of the river right now LOL.

I wouldn't trust anything that attached with two sided tape. I've just never had good luck with that stuff. Sounds like you didn't either!

This attaches to the rub rail via stainless screws spaced out every so often. The screws go in the center of the rub rail and then the white liner piece slips in to cover the screws.

Hey Gofirstclass,
I forgot all about our conversation until I went down and started getting my boat ready for launching in the next few weeks. Do you still have the trim material? If so, how much do you want for it? Let me know! Thanks, Buzzie

Buzzie, no problem, it's still sitting there in my garage. I just checked the USPS for shipping charges and came up with what's below. I was "guesstimating" the size and weight. I'll measure it and weigh it and see what it comes out to be and I'll get back to you.
